I have spent many richly fulfilling years in my career working with people who have struggled with substance use. Currently, my practice is ideal for clients who have already gotten clean/sober and are looking to broaden their support system. While substance use almost always overlaps with mental health needs, the benefits are plentiful when working with a compassionate and knowledgeable individual therapist who is well versed in the substance use world. I can provide referrals to higher levels of care if you are struggling with abstinence or not yet in a place where individual therapy is enough of a support in the days of early recovery.

"Mental Health" is quite a broad heading, isn't it? It includes such issues as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and much more. There are also numerous other reasons that might lead a person to seek therapy, such as difficulty in relationships, major life events or transitions, coping with the state of the world, grief, self-esteem, and any other form of stress life throws at us. Therapy can play a critical role in recovery, sometimes in tandem with medication from a psychiatric provider, if you decide that is right for you. Talking about what is going on can help us discover what is keeping us stuck and what may help us on our way.

I have become very passionate about mentoring future clinicians as my career has evolved.
