About Me and My Practice

Elena Gregorio, LCSW

I am a psychotherapist with a background in clinical social work. From the time I began studying social work, its philosophy resonated deeply with me: it is client-centered and strengths-based with an emphasis on dignity for all, regardless of background or identity. In the recent past, social justice issues have begun to occupy a more prominent (and long overdue) role in many personal, community, and larger conversations. I support the dismantling of systems of oppression in its many forms, and am supportive to clients if they choose to engage with these topics, whether or not they wish to bring them to the therapy space.

I believe in letting you tell your story. Some of my guiding principles in practice are patience, compassion, and non-judgment, which I believe are essential to creating an atmosphere of safety and empowerment. My style is diversified and includes elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, experiential therapy, and narrative therapy, among other modalities, tailored to what you need. I would like to work with you in setting goals and working toward the positive change you would like to see in your life.
